Dominic Mercier

Dominic is a born and raised just-outside-Philadelphian. Growing up with a very Southern father, he learned that being outside trumped playing Mike Tyson’s Punch Out with his friends any day. From riding trees in the local state parks, to tramping around the swamps of his father’s Mississippi birthplace, Dominic received a healthy dose of nature from a young age.
Surrounded by mostly indoor folks for most of his college and post-college years, Dominic came to climbing later than he would have liked to. After years of wanting to - and hedging on 30 - he signed up for a class at Philadelphia’s Go Vertical gym about two years ago, where he met Tom, Clay, and Dave. An unapologetic wisenheimer, Dominic can usually be found at the base of climbs making fun of his friends.
